This wine has a unique story.  Originally destined to be exported, this special Cabernet Late Harvest was bottled in 2019.  Well, in 2020 the world shut down and shipping stopped so we put it to the back of the line in our warehouse. As things eventually reopened and the orders began to move this one lonely order remained forgotten at the back of the line.  It was not until last month when we came across the big "READY FOR SALE" sticker on the pallet that we realized that a wonderful wine had been left behind.  What once was lost has been found and we want you to enjoy the savings.

This Cabernet Late Harvest is not as sweet as a Cabernet Select Late Harvest or an Icewine.  It has only about 45g/L of sugar making it right in between a traditional dessert wine and a sweet table red.  It is perfect to accompany cheeses, charcuterie and antipasto.  With port like characteristics the age of the wine is shining brightly.  Although not overly sweet the residual sugar is still well balanced with the acidity, highlighting the aged fruit characters.  Cooked plum, dried dates and toffee are prominent with a hint of soft cranberry and cherry on the finish.  Akin to a traditional fortified dessert wine but with less dry heat as the alcohol is 11%.  This is a once in a lifetime product that is truly unique to taste.  Only a handful of cases are available so do not miss out on this opportunity.

This wine is ideal for sipping after dinner as a digestif, paired with dark chocolates and mixed nuts.
