SHIPPING POLICY

Government Regulations
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulates wineries’ sale and distribution of their products in Ontario. It has firm rules that apply to the sale and delivery of wine, most notably the requirement that alcohol can only be delivered to a person 19 years of age or older, who is not intoxicated. Therefore, the delivery agent acting on behalf of Pillitteri Estates Winery Inc. is obligated to ensure your majority (two photo IDs may be required, if the agent requests confirmation) and obtain your signature before handing over the order.

Freezing Damage Policy
Pillitteri Estates Winery is not responsible or liable for damage to product in transit due to freezing. Some couriers may leave shipped wine in non-climate-controlled environments and this may cause the wine to freeze. Please be aware that this damage is not covered in our return and refund policy and will be at the buyer’s expense. If the temperature in Niagara is extremely low at the time of shipping, we will delay shipment to protect from freezing. However, we cannot monitor temperatures at all points throughout transit. If there is an extreme freezing risk in your area and you would like to delay delivery, please make a note of it in your order and we will delay shipping of your order.

SUBSCRIPTION POLICY

Subscriptions and Wine Club

All subscription services (including all Wine Club Memberships) from Pillitteri Estates Winery have a minimum of a 1 year term consisting of the number of wine deliveries agreed upon at time of purchase. Cancellation before the completion of this term will result in additional charges based on the shipping charge for the wines received and the cost of experiences undertaken when visiting the winery from the beginning of the subscription up to the point of cancellation.

When you purchase a subscription or Wine Club Membership you will receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select.

Your payment details will be stored securely and you will be charged for each of these deliveries at the repeating interval you have selected.

Some subscriptions will auto-renew at the end of your year of service. If you don’t want to renew a subscription you can cancel it after 1 year of wine deliveries (for quarterly subscription this is 4 deliveries, for by-monthly this is 6 deliveries, for monthly deliveries this is 12 deliveries).  To cancel your subscription you may do so through your order confirmation email.  It has a link to your subscription management portal.  You can also email winery@pillitteri.com to advise us you would not like auto-renewal of your subscription.

You can manage your subscription from these emails or call us to assist you in changing your subscription or wine club membership.

Pausing a subscription will extend the length of the term to complete the paused periods delivery schedule.  For example, pausing a subscription for 2 months will add 2 months to the term of the membership.  The maximum length of time a subscription may be paused for is 6 months.

All Wine Club Members and Subscription purchasers must sign up for email mailing lists, this is to ensure we are able to communicate member information, special member offers, event details and updates in a timely and efficient manner.  If a member opts out of our email newsletter they do so knowingly and cannot hold Pillitteri responsible for missing pertinent member offers and membership updates.
