17 Year Old Tawny Forte - Fortified Red Wine (200ml)

17 YEAR OLD, FRENCH OAK BARREL AGED, TAWNY FORTE

In over 30 years of winemaking we have produced and released a Tawny style fortified wine only twice.  Our first release in 1999 sold out almost instantly.  This release is sure to sell quickly as well.  Using Cabernet wine that has been in French oak barrels since the 2006 vintage we have produced a fortified red wine that is as intriguing as it is alluring.  Expertly blended with Cabernet Icewine to add sweetness and using brandy to fortify the wine we have produced a one-of-a-kind product that is reminiscent of the classic aged Tawny Ports of the old world.  Notes of chocolate, dried cherries, fig and walnut.  with hints of cedar, caramel, toffee, tobacco and coffee.  Perfect after dinner in place of a liqueur or with dessert.
