A cool climate take on of one of the worlds most renowned blends, the 2021 Amy Millar Red has aromas of strawberry, raspberry jam, red plum, black pepper, and clove, along with subtle charred wood and vanilla from aging in oak barrels. The palate is medium bodied and mirrors the nose, but with an emphasis on red fruit and a jammy quality that is nicely contrasted against the wine’s fresh acidity. Overall, its shows excellent balance between alcohol, acidity, and tannins which are silky-smooth, making this wine very approachable and easy drinking. The 2021 Amy Millar White is a smooth and easy-drinking wine packed with flavour and wonderful balance. The nose is crisp and features aroma of peach, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, and slight floral undertones. On the palate the wine is just off-dry and repeating flavours found in the aroma are accompanied by the bright acidity and minerality which make the wine so refreshing and clean. The finish leaves a lingering grapefruit and tropical taste which combined with the refreshing quality make this wine the perfect summer sipper. Great for enjoying in the sun in the backyard, casual dining, or cheering on Amy as she represents Canada at the Olympic Games.
