Amy Millar Red

Pillitteri Estates Winery is proud to produce a range of wines in partnership with Amy Millar. Amy was born into equestrian sport, riding horses at an early age on the family farm. She made history with her father and brother at a tournament in Calgary as they became the first family of three to compete for a Canadian Nations Cup team. Amy and Heros made their Olympic debut at Rio 2016 where they were part of Canada’s fourth place finish in the team event.

A cool climate take on of one of the worlds most renowned blends, the 2021 Amy Millar Red has aromas of strawberry, raspberry jam, red plum, black pepper, and clove, along with subtle charred wood and vanilla from aging in oak barrels. The palate is medium bodied and mirrors the nose, but with an emphasis on red fruit and a jammy quality that is nicely contrasted against the wine’s fresh acidity. Overall, its shows excellent balance between alcohol, acidity, and tannins which are silky-smooth, making this wine very approachable and easy drinking. Perfect for sharing with friends, pairing with hearty meals, or cheering on Amy as she represents Canada at the Olympic Games.
